Duke Youth Academy Invites Applicants for Youth Ministry Fellowship

The Duke Youth Academy for Christian Formation (DYA) invites youth workers interested in exploring innovative youth ministry practices to apply for a Duke youth ministry fellowship.  Fellows typically possess undergraduate degrees and have fewer than five years of experience in a church setting.

Fellows have the opportunity to learn from internationally acclaimed Divinity School faculty, to reflect together on the implications of DYA practices for their own youth ministries, and to continue discerning their own calling to ministry with youth while living in the midst of the Duke Youth Academy.

Over the year following DYA, fellows will benefit from sustained relationship with a DYA mentor in youth ministry and from regular online “retreats” to further assist Fellows’ integration of DYA practices into their local ministries with youth.

Fellows attend the Duke Youth Academy over the week of June 17-22, 2012.  Tuition, materials, room & board, and leadership are provided by the Duke Youth Academy at no cost to fellowship recipients.  Fellows will be responsible for the cost of their transportation to and from Durham, North Carolina.

For an application or for more information, email duyouth@div.duke.edu or call 919.613.5331.
