Time For Some Forgiveness

How are the Children? Here’s a fact of life. You’re not going to get through today without hurting those around you. Here’s another fact of life. You’re not going to get through today without being hurt by those around you. That’s why God makes the two sides of forgiveness such a big deal. You need to forgive others when they hurt you. Really forgive them. Truly forgive them. You also need to forgive yourself when you hurt others. Really forgive yourself. Truly forgive yourself. If you can’t, you’re going to carry around hurt, pain, resentment and anger towards others and yourself. It will build up day after month after year after decade. That’s not good for you. It’s not good for others. And it’s especially not good for God. So – maybe, just maybe – it’s time for some forgiveness today!

YouthWorker Movement Questions to Consider:

When have you wished someone would pray God’s blessings upon you?

When have you prayed for God’s blessing upon another?

When should you have prayed for God’s blessing upon another but didn’t?  Why?

When have your prayers changed what you planned to do?

[You may find it helpful to spend a day on each question and write down your responses.  Write whatever comes to mind without judgement.  Then take some time to carefully pray through what you have written.  And take time to listen because God is talking to you.]
