#YouthMinPhoto Challenge Update – Top Photos for Week 1

Last week we kicked off the Youth Ministry Photo Challenge for the month of May.

Here’s how it works: Each day of the month has a different topic for your photos – for example on Day 8 the word is “Beautiful”.  To participate as a youth ministry, pass the list on to your friends and youth group members, post it on your group Facebook page or tweet it.  Challenge them to post photos using a Twitter or Instagram account, and be sure to post the photo using the hashtag “#youthminphoto” and send it “@ywmovement.”

A great thing about this challenge is that youth and youthworkers are invited to participate & you can join in at any time.  Use this photo challenge to get your youth to share their faith in a non-threatening and creative way.  As you meet each week, share the images that your group created on the week’s topics.  You can search “#youthminphoto” on both Instagram and Twitter to find examples from around the country.

This photo challenge makes a compelling youth group discussion starter.  For example, we have learned from the images submitted so far that God’s spirit can be seen in happy children, flowers and sunshine.  We praise God through worship and through the amazing things our youth group accomplishes.  We find strength anywhere from our family to professional wrestlers.

And here’s your 15 minutes of fame!  Here are our staff favorite pictures for the first week of #YouthMinPhoto participation:
