Have you ever wondered if there is an air terminal lighting protection system that would be adequate to protect against electrical failures in the air terminals? That is exactly what I thought when I read an article recently in “The New Yorker” magazine where it stated that there are two billion dollars worth of investments that are lost each year by air terminals due to electrical failures. This really made me think about how vital it is to have adequate protection against electrical failures in our air terminals for storms. If this was happening in New York, Chicago or LA then there wouldn’t be any airports there because those types of airports are considered too risky and too expensive to protect.
The Most Powerful People in the World of Pest Control All Have This Trait in Common
In order to protect against the catastrophic effects of electrical failures, we need to design systems that can detect the presence of a possible electrical failure and warn the proper personnel in real time. It should be noted that there are many different types of warning devices that have been designed over the years. The most popular one used today is the strobe-style light which basically flashes at the terminal to let the people know of potential electrical failures. This type of system can either be built into the light itself so that it can’t be moved around; or can be hidden under a piece of fabric or cloth that is draped over the area to be protected.
Some systems also have the ability to “talk” to nearby air terminals to let them know of a possible electrical failure. In this way, they can inform the proper personnel and direct them to the nearest location to fix the problem. Of course, having all of these types of warning devices wouldn’t be enough to protect your aircraft. You need to have a system in place that is able to prevent electrical failures in the air terminals by using strategically placed flaps that will stop the flow of current until the problem with the electrical failure has been fixed.
